Target Mega-Breach Provided "virtual-bench" for large MSSP remediation projects

I recruited for the remediation efforts to this record setting incident.
Cybercriminals struck the retailer in 2013, stealing 40 million credit and debit card numbers and other sensitive information that impacted about 70 million customers. The response to its massive credit card breach are projected to reach $148 million, and Target warned that costs could continue to climb.

Equifax Data Breach Estimated that 40% of US population was affected by this breach

As a Sr Recruiter, I recruited many of the engineers and architects that built the rapid response remediation effort.
Many of these roles had ambiguous job responsibilities and timelines for the folks I was placing into a high stress & high visibility breach.

In March 2017, personally identifying data of hundreds of millions of people was stolen from Equifax, one of the credit reporting agencies that assess the financial health of nearly everyone in the United States.

Bank of the West & BMO Merger I placed the "Ice Breaker" for $16.3 Billion Merger

BotW had a massive Cybersecurity uplift to meet the regulatory requirements for this massive merger.
I placed the first contractor into this project. This Sailpoint architect had a dramatic positive impact on the project and led to a large number of subsequent placements and offers.

FAQ

  • What other types of roles and requirements have you worked?

Cybersecurity and IT Infrastructure was my primary focus. I also enjoyed supporting our E-commerce clients. This includes Marketing Specialists (SEO/SEM/Content), Grahpic Designers, Sales, and Developers (Magento/CMS/PHP/etc).
  • have you worked in a fast paced start-up environment?

Yes, HV was a fast paced high pressure start-up. We were part of a Cybersecurity focused start-up group that also created and sold multiple security companies. We frequently collaborated and supported each other’s business needs.
  • What kind of metrics and systems did you use?

Our primary metric was gross profit from placements. The advantage of a start-up environment is we were agile! I was required to be self-driven and self-reliant to deliver results and create impact better than our competitors. My consistent use of systems, such as our CRM (Bullhorn), meant that I took meticulous notes.
  • have you worked "Full Desk" 360 Recruiting?

Yes, I also did business development to find new clients. My primary function was delivery (90-10 split delivery-BD). I enjoyed the opportunity to help grow our company.
  • Are you confident working on competing priorities?

Yes, one of my favorite aspects to start-up culture are competing priorities! Simultaneously recruiting talent for a CIO position, while recruiting for a warehouse worker, while creating client appreciation events… keeps me engaged and excited!
